How to Use Photographic Survey with AP50 Vision
Photographic surveying allows you to quickly capture data from the field using video and images. With the AP50 Vision, the process is simple, efficient, and highly visual. This step-by-step guide shows you how to perform a photographic survey and extract precise coordinates using images.
🔧 Step 1: Connect the Device
Start by connecting your controller to the AP50 Vision:

Go to the Device page and tap Communication.

Set the Model Type to AP50 Vision.

Connect to the AP50 Vision via Bluetooth.
📶 Step 2: Enter the Photographic Survey Mode

In the Survey page, tap Photographic Survey.

Connect to the AP50 Vision Wi-Fi.

Tap Photographic Survey again to enter the video recording interface.
🎥 Step 3: Record a Video and Generate Images

Record a short video clip of the target area.

The video will automatically generate photos in real time during the recording process.

To ensure enough data points, you need at least 5–10 photos.

When you're done, tap Stop to finish the recording.
📌 Step 4: Select Points for Coordinate Extraction

From the generated images, select the same point on two different photos.

The software will calculate and display the 3D coordinate of the selected point.

Tap OK to confirm and save the result.
